The Department of Health thought that it was very important for people in adult
placements to know about the rules for Adult Placement Schemes. They asked a company
called 'Know What I Mean' to write these rules down using simple language and
with no jargon. They also asked the people in 'Know What I Mean' to draw pictures
to help to explain the rules and make it easier for people who do not read to
understand what Adult Placement Schemes are supposed to do.
