The NAAPS Scotland Committee has been in existence since 2002 and meets regularly alternating between venues in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Comittee provides an opportunity to discuss and examine Shared Lives practice issues, particularly those relevant to Scotland.  Currently under review are:

  • Regulation of the workforce
  • Growth and diversification of Shared Lives
Committee membership includes providers of services, both from local authorities and private organisations and Shared Lives carers.

The Chair of the Committee is a member of the Board of Trustees and ensures that the interests of the Scotland members are represented on the Board.  Scotland is also represented on the Four Countries Committee which considers regulatory and legislative issues in the four countries and their impact on Shared Lives practice.
